Charity Auction
to benefit
Children First Academy
and the
Challenger Space Center
Updated 07/23/2010

It is my pleasure to bring to all the members a Charity Auction to benefit Children First Academy (formerly Pappas Schools) and the Peoria Challenger Space Center.

The Nation's Largest School for Homeless Children Offers More than a Quality Education. The students who enroll in Children First Academy Phoenix, a 501(c)3 institution, are not typical public school students. Many of the children routinely go without life's basic necessities - food, clothing, air conditioning, water, and most importantly a stable home life. Although many of the students never spend more than one night in the same place, they always have their school to attend each day. It fulfills much more than the typical school's role; it is the sense of stability these children so desperately need. In addition, they are provided health and dental care, and monthly food boxes to the family. A list of their critical needs can be found here: http://cfaphoenix.org/images/needs22.pdf

Challenger Space Center, Peoria, Arizona, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit institution that provides programs to help children understand the importance of math, science and technology along with teamwork, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making. Their high-tech, high-touch programs are molding the community and workforce leaders of the future. Donations are vital to keep these programs available.

As usual, I will try to give everyone an interesting and desirable selection of cool items to bid for. Our goodies will be on display Friday, & Saturday. Time and place TBA. There will be Charity Auction Program Guides available at Registration. The auction is not yet scheduled, please check back for date and times.

All books that are presented as a First Edition are done so at the best judgment of our Charity Auction Director. No guarantee is made by Catherine Book, CASFS, Inc. or CopperCon30 for any item. If you have any questions, please inspect the item prior to auction.

We will accept cash and checks but not children or husbands. Winners will be able to pay for and collect their items right after the auction ends but not during the auction.

We'd like to thank our many contributors and we'll mention them by name in the coming days.

If you have anything in your closets, garages or storage units and need to find good homes for them, please keep us in mind. Contact me and I'll arrange a pickup, if necessary.

See you at the Auction; don't forget your money. Bid often, bid high...

Your tireless Charity Auction Director,
Catherine Book
