CHARITY AUCTION
(updated 9/02)
It is my pleasure to bring to all the members a Charity Auction to benefit the Peoria Challenger Space Center. 100% of the proceeds will be given to this charity.
The Mission of the Challenger Space Center is to inspire, excite and educate people of all ages about the mysteries and wonders of space, science and the universe in which we live... Their website is www.azchallenger.org Their unique facility offers a hands-on learning environment outside of the classroom, designed to evoke creativity and a passion for learning in kids of all ages. For those too far away to visit the Center, they offer one of a kind distance learning programs that integrate science and technology like never before. Their programs foster science and math literacy, and help students develop the higher level critical thinking skills that companies increasingly demand from their employees. These high-tech, high-touch programs are molding the community and workforce leaders of the future, helping children understand the importance of math, science and technology, along with teamwork, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making. The Challenger Space Center is a 501(c)3 organization and receives no funding from NASA, the Smithsonian, the federal gov’t or the United Way.
As usual, I will try to give everyone an interesting and desirable selection of cool items to bid for. Our goodies will be on display Friday and Saturday in the Art Show. There will be Charity Auction Program Guides available at Registration. The auction is scheduled for Saturday from 330pm-530pm in the Ventanas Room. We will accept cash, checks and credit cards but not children or husbands. Winners will be able to pay for and collect their items right after the auction ends but not during the auction.
All books that are presented as a First Edition are done so at the best judgment of our Charity Auction Director. No guarantee is made by Catherine Book, CASFS, Inc. or CopperCon25 for any item. If you have any questions, please ask via e-mail or inspect the item prior to auction.
