Pre-Registered members can join us on Thursday night
for a special event with Lani Tupu and David Franklin and a Connie Willis
reading. Both Lani and David will also be doing Q&A sessions
on Friday afternoon, so make your plans to come out early.
We'll be having a Special Screening of Caribou Moving
Pictures' Planet of the Killer Robots on Friday night.
CopperCon 23 will have special
activities for our Epic Fantasy theme as well as panels and presentations

Author Guest of Honor Connie
Willis
|
 Award
winning SF Author of Doomsday Book, Passage, To Say Nothing
of the Dog and Bellwether. Connie has been awarded 8 Hugo Awards,
9 Locus Poll Awards and 6 Nebula Awards. Her books have an epic feel to
them and range from laugh out loud funny to very deadly serious.
She is currently working on All Clear, a time travel novel to the
time of the London Blitz. Her most recent novel, Passage,
deals with the study of near-death experiences and the sinking of the Titanic. |

Mattingly

 Illustrator
of over 500 science fiction and fantasy covers including the "Honor Harrington"
series for author David Weber. He is a two-time winner of Magazine and
Booksellers ”Best Cover of the Year" Award, & winner of The Association
of Science Fiction Artists "Chesley" award. Before becoming a freelance
artist, David worked at Walt Disney Studios, ultimately becoming head of
the matte department. During that time, he worked on movies such
as "The Black Hole", "Tron", "Dick Tracy", Stephen King's "The Stand" and
many others. |

 Lani
John Tupu is a fan favorite Actor on Farscape as Captain Crais and
the voice of Pilot plus other genre TV appearances including The Lost
World and Time Trax. Lani is also in the international,
critically acclaimed Australian film Lantana which won the AFI (Australian
Film Institute) awards for Best Australia Film of the year in 2001 and
which picked up no less than seven major awards. Lani Tupu will be making
a special appearance at CopperCon this year including a special event on
Thursday night for pre-registered members. |

Franklin

 David
Franklin is best known for his role of Captain Braca on Farscape,
a role that has spanned all four seasons of the series. He also appeared
in five Xena: Warrior Princess episodes as Brutus. Other TV
appearances include Time Trax, Flipper, and the TV movies
Survive
the Savage Sea and The Flood. Theatrical films include
The
Matrix: Reloaded, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles and
The
Crocodile Hunter. David will be making a special
appearance at CopperCon this year including a special event on Thursday
night for pre-registered members. |

Music Guest Larry Warner
|
 Once
termed the "James Taylor of Filk Music," Larry Warner has written and performed
filk music both locally and nationally since 1983. Having appeared on numerous
recordings produced by Off Centaur/Firebird, DAG, Thor Records, and Wail
Songs, Larry has two solo projects of his own: "Through My Eyes" (virtually
out-of-print), and "On Deck 11," the latter being a tribute to his favorite
subject, the Star Trek Universe. Lately, Larry is enjoying spending time
with his wife Theresa and 11-month-old son, Grayson, while continuing to
design exhibits at the Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa. Larry is
