Michael Crichton
October 23, 1942 -November 4, 2008

Michael Crichton died unexpectedly in Los Angeles, California following a battle against cancer. He is best know as the author of Jurassic Park and The Andromeda Strain as well as being the creator of ER. His books have been translated into thirty six languages and thirteen have been made into films.

Crichton's awards included the Academy Award, Emmy, Peabody, Writer's Guild of America Award, and Edgar Allan Poe Award.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Alexander and a daughter, Taylor Anne, from a previous marriage.
