Lloyd Alexander
1924 - 2007

Fantasy writer, Lloyd Chudley Alexander died in his Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania home on Thursday, May 17, 2007. His wife of 61 years, Janine Denni died two week earlier.

Alexander was best known for the Chronicles of Prydain series of novels. During his career he published at least forty books. His final work The Golden Dream of Carlo Chuchio, is due out in August.

He was honored the National Book Award, the Newbery Medal and the Life Achievement World Fantasy Award.
