Fiske, the pupular gray chow who attended Arizona SF conventions for over a decade passed away on September 1, 2004, after an extended illness. A gentle fur-person, for many years, he could be found at cons curled up next to his mistress, greeting old friends and teaching new ones the basics of canine etiquette. His interest in fine art was well known to art show staffers, who greeted him with doggie biscuits and hugs. A seasoned traveler, Fiske loved to travel, exploring Arizona from Bisbee to Flagstaff and even managing several jaunts to California where he attended PlanetFest and visited the Disneyland kennels. (He talked about Disneyland for hours!) Fiske is survived by MH Volckmann, CF Yankovich, Poppy Dog, and Schwartz Katz. In his honor, the pack will be adopting a rescue chow. |
