4.How can I join ConNotations staff or become a reviewer?

If you are interested in joining the ConNotations staff a good first step is to come to one of the bi-monthly staff meetings held on the first Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December. Click here if you want to be notified of our next staff meeting.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for ConNotations a good first step is to send us some sample reviews - currently we are looking for reviews of genre movies, DVDs, books, Manga, games and conventions.

There are some pluses and minuses to being on ConNotations staff.

A plus of being a ConNotations staff member is that you will be able to have first pick of any review items that come in. Currently we receive books and the very occasional Manga for review. Once you have proven yourself as a reliable reviewer you can even request that certain authors or types of books are saved for you to see first, before they go to the general CASFS membership.

A minus of being a ConNotations staff member is that you will be ineligible for all the drawings and contests for freebies and swag that CASFS and ConNotations do in partnership with some of the local distributers. You will also be expected to review any genre items you purchase for yourself and any genre movies you see, even if you see it without getting a free pass.
