Doom’s Break the third book of the Arna series.
It is the fifth year of the war of Man vs the Watermots. The men attacking the land of the Mots slaughter and eat the Mots, and their families. The Mots, a peaceful people, have had to learn war, but are holding their own. But now the war has moved to the sea. And thru Gillo, the Mot weaver/war hero, has gone to sea. Nobody has seen him for months. But he returns, with the Emperor of Man, deposed by the dark priesthood, who want’s to end the War. He must also choose between the three women who hold a part of his heart, and have become part of the war effort. How can the Emperor get man and mot to accept each other , end the war and defeat the dark forces that oppose them.
Lots of action and good characterizations of the two species. Well worth the read and perhaps purchasing the set. - Pam Allan
