Blackveil is the sequel to The High King's Tomb. For the millennium since the end of the long war Blackveil forest and Mornhavon the Black, the Mad King have been magically isolated by the D'Yer Wall protecting the rest of the world from Morhavon's dark magics. But now the magics are failing.
Karigan G'ladheon is a Green Rider, an Elite messenger for King Zachary, knighted, and wearing the Magical brooch of the first Rider which allows her to transcend the barriers of time and space and move Mornheon in time to try to re-secure the D'Yer wall. But other groups have also entered the forest with different agendas. What will happen with a twisted forest full of monsters and what a ride, {or Hike} the author takes us on. Can Karigan save her world? Can she save herself?
Britain has written a great epic to date and has continued to grow, as do her characters. It is virtually impossible not to get involved. Her world- building is so real the reader feels present. This is epic fantasy to be collected and enjoyed. Re-reading is the order of the day as each one gets better and better. ~~ Pam Allan
